Authorized repair vs. DIY — honestly compared
DIY is cheaper upfront. Here's the full picture, including where it genuinely makes sense and where it doesn't.
What actually breaks on a T100 — and what to check after a crash
The same teardown references our own technicians use. Because hiding repair knowledge doesn't build trust — sharing it does.
Common failure points
- Propellers — strike damage & fatigue — the #1 replacement item
- Cooling fans — dust and chaff ingestion over a season
- Tank gaskets & seals — chemical wear from crop protection products
- Pump diaphragms — hour-based wear, watch for pressure drop
- Arm locking mechanisms — vibration loosening after hard landings
- Nozzles — orifice wear — calibrate flow rate each season
Post-crash inspection checklist
-
01
Frame & arm cracks — check around motor mounts and fold joints
-
02
Motor bells & bearings — spin test for play or grinding
-
03
Propellers — any chip or stress mark means replace the pair
-
04
Radar / LiDAR lenses — scratches cause false obstacle readings
-
05
Camera & gimbal mounts — verify damping balls are intact
-
06
Battery casing & connectors — no swelling, no bent pins
-
07
Full calibration + tethered hover test — before any load
DJI can determine collision responsibility through flight log analysis. We pull and read those logs as part of every post-crash inspection — it often decides whether a repair is warranty-covered.
Teardown & parts reference
Disassembly walkthroughs, propeller diagrams, and spare parts sheets — published openly for the DIY-capable.
FAQ
Straight answers, before you ship anything
Is my T100 still under warranty or DJI Care eligible?
Warranty and DJI Care eligibility are tied to your serial number and activation date. Send us your serial with the repair form and we'll confirm eligibility before any work starts — free of charge.
Will a repair through Syntion void my warranty?
No. We're a DJI-authorized service center using genuine parts, so work done through us keeps your warranty and DJI Care fully intact. Unauthorized or DIY repairs are what put coverage at risk.
What parts are compatible with earlier Agras models (T50, T70P, T25P)?
Less than you'd think. The T100 spraying system is not compatible with the T50. Spreader units swap between the T70P and T100, but spreading tanks do not. The RC Plus 2 remote works with the T70P but not the T50 or T25P. See the compatibility table above before ordering anything.
How long does a typical repair take?
Diagnosis within 24 hours of arrival, and most repairs ship back in 3–5 business days after quote approval. Complex crash rebuilds can take 7–10 days — we always quote a timeline up front.
Do you offer on-site or field repair, or is shipping required?
Most units ship to our Fresno service center. For fleets and urgent in-season work, ask about on-site service — we travel for multi-unit jobs.
What if my crash was caused by an unmarked obstacle vs. pilot error?
DJI's own policy draws this distinction, and it affects coverage. We pull your flight logs and help determine cause before filing any claim — if the obstacle was genuinely unmarked, warranty coverage often applies; pilot-error incidents are typically covered only under DJI Care. Either way, you'll know where you stand before approving any repair.

"Ordered a replacement arm at 9am, shipped same day. Fit perfectly, no shims, no drama. Exactly what I needed mid-season."
Mary U.
"The bulk quote process was painless. They knew the T100 part numbers cold and flagged a shared part I could reuse across our T50s."
Joshua A.
"Genuine parts, real warranty, and a support tech who actually flies these. Night and day vs. the aftermarket seller I used before."
